Understanding your Supremo Weave Furniture 

Supremo weave collections have been a popular choice for many years, not only because of their style but because it is low maintenance. It only takes a few minutes to clean and care for compared to other outdoor materials. 

Supremo weave furniture is lightweight, sturdy, and durable, manufactured from high-quality HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) and hand-woven onto rust-proof aluminium frames to impart strength and style to the furniture. 

Highly functional and hardy, weave outdoor furniture can last for many years if you follow the basic cleaning process. You can leave your rattan garden furniture outdoors all year round. For added protection against dirt and debris, Supremo recommends covering your furniture frames with one of Supremo’s breathable, water-resistant outdoor covers.

Supremo cushion covers are season-safe; the unique material used to cover the inner foam is water and stain-resistant. Although not waterproof, Supremo’s season-safe cushions can be left outside in showers.  If the internal filling becomes wet, the covers have a breathable vent for quicker drying.

IMPORTANT: You must store loose cushions away during continued periods of inclement weather. Storing them away when not in use is advisable. DO NOT leave loose cushions underneath a furniture cover for long periods.

Aftercare tips and troubleshooting

General

• Due to its lightweight properties, the aluminium frames can be knocked out of shapeif the furniture is dragged across hard surfaces. Please lift when moving.

• All products require a minimal amount of care and maintenance. This document's cleaning and care instructions should be followed to avoid invalidating your warranty. 

• We recommend using a Supremo garden furniture cover to minimise dirt and debris contact when not in use.

Glass

• Avoid placing objects on the tables for an extended period that may directly or indirectly cause stains, such as ashtrays, pots and vases. 

• Do not place hot objects directly on the tables. Use coasters and table mats to prevent damage.

• The HDPE weave under the glass can sag when exposed to natural heat. Once cooled, the weave will return to its former position. Continued exposure will cause acceptable movement to the weave. This expansion of the weave prevents the weave from becoming brittle and breaking.

• Avoid placing magnifying objects on the glass during consistent exposure to sunlight, such as drinking glasses, glass plates or vases.

• Supremo uses toughened, tempered safety glass. When this type of glass breaks, it will break into small pieces rather than large shards of glass that could cause harm. 

• Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.

Cushions

• Do not expose your Supremo cushions to consistent inclement weather conditions. Store away as advised.

• To avoid harming the water-resistant lining, do not machine wash.

• Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.

• Dark cushions are more likely to fade in constant direct sunlight. It is advised to store them when not in use.

• If the internal filling becomes wet, it is advised to remove the cushion cover and allow to dry in a warm, covered area for at least 48 hours before use.

• Do not store cushions under furniture covers for long periods of time or in inclement weather.

How to Clean Rattan Garden Furniture.

Regular cleaning is essential as it reduces the chances of any infestation or damage to the furniture. Not cleaning it properly can harbour mould and bacteria growth, both of which can lessen the life span of the furniture and cause issues with the framework.

Here are some basic cleaning steps for your Supremo Outdoor Weave Furniture

1. Use a soft brush to clean out any dust or debris (food particles) you might find on the furniture piece. Ensure the brush bristles are soft and not abrasive, as it would damage the furniture.

2. A pair of tweezers could work well when you want to get rid of dirt from harder-to-reach places like crevices or between the weaves. Take care when using tweezers not to damage or catch the weave as this may break or snap.

3. Supremo furniture can be washed with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue. NEVER use a pressure washer to clean your furniture, as this could damage the weave.

4. Once a month, wipe your Supremo garden furniture with a soft, damp cloth or warm, soapy water. 

5. After washing the furniture, dry it in a well-ventilated area.

6. A suitable glass cleaner and soft cloth can be used to buff the glass.

7. Cushion covers are to be hand-washed only and are zipped for easy removal. Any spillages should be removed with a damp cloth. Please refer to the care label for instructions. To keep your cushions looking pristine, we recommend storing them away when not in use. NEVER machine wash or tumble dry the covers.

8. In coastal environments with a high concentration of abrasive salt in the atmosphere, the frames and exposed metal should be washed down with fresh water monthly and cover when not in use to reduce the corrosion rate. 

9. Although not essential, Supremo advises storing the frames and cushions during winter. We have a range of Supremo covers that can be used specifically designed to keep the elements away and allow air to circulate through a Supremo breathable vent system, suitable for the hardware. Cushions are not stored under cover.
