Understanding your Supremo Rope & Wood Furniture 

Supremo rope and wood collection is created using responsibly sourced Eucalyptus wood supported with strong inner aluminium tubing encased in recycled marine grade rope. With its versatile textiles, the range can handle all weather conditions and look the part inside or outside your home.

This mixed material collection combines the authentic beauty of natural wood and robust and bold rope. The organic oils in the Eucalyptus prevent insects, water, and moisture from penetrating and creating abnormal expansion - protecting it from rotting and deterioration. The premium recycled polyester rope is developed for marine use, making it suitable to withstand the wetter months. High strength resistance and extreme durability are impressive features of the rope, constructed UV stabilised yarn, woven with over 10,000 strands with a reinforced core. The double braided cover makes the rope extremely strong but soft to the touch - a perfect match for the solid, natural frames. 

Highly functional and hardy outdoor furniture can last many years if you follow the basic cleaning process. You can leave your wood garden furniture outdoors all year round. 

Supremo cushion covers are season-safe; the unique material used to cover the inner foam is water and stain-resistant. Although not waterproof, Supremo’s season-safe cushions can be left outside in showers.  If the internal filling becomes wet, the covers have a breathable vent for quicker drying.

IMPORTANT: You must store loose cushions away during continued periods of inclement weather. Storing them away when not in use is advisable.

• All products require a minimal amount of care and maintenance. This document's cleaning and care instructions should be followed to avoid invalidating your warranty. 

• We DO NOT recommend covering your rope and wood furniture with any outdoor cover, as the materials need consistent airflow. 

• For service-related enquiries, please contact your retailer.  

Wood 

• Supremo does not recommend the use of wood paint or varnishes– it can discolour the finish.

• When left untreated outdoors, the eucalyptus will naturally change to a light silvery/grey.

• Over time, the eucalyptus can become rough to the touch as the surface grain lifts.

• Small cracks can appear as the eucalyptus adjusts to the temperament of its environment. The crack will not affect the structural strength of the furniture.

• Avoid placing objects on the tables for an extended period that may directly or indirectly cause stains such as ashtrays, pots and vases. 

• Do not place hot objects directly on the tables. Use coasters and table mats to prevent damage.

• Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.

Cushions

• Do not expose your Supremo cushions to consistent inclement weather conditions. Store away as advised.

• To avoid harming the water-resistant lining, do not machine wash.

• Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth.

• Dark cushions are more likely to fade in constant direct sunlight. It is advised to store them when not in use.

• If the internal filling becomes wet, it is advised to remove the cushion cover and allow to dry in a warm, covered area for at least 48 hours before use.

How to Clean Rope & Wood Garden Furniture.

Regular cleaning is essential as it reduces the chances of any infestation or damage to the furniture. Not cleaning it properly can harbour mould and bacteria growth, both of which can lessen the life span of the furniture and cause issues with the framework.

Here are some basic cleaning steps for your Supremo Rope & Wood Outdoor Furniture

1. Use a soft brush to clean out any dust or debris (food particles) you might find between the rope. Ensure the brush bristles are soft and not abrasive, as it would damage the furniture.

2. A pair of tweezers could work well when you want to get rid of dirt from harder-to-reach places like crevices or between the rope. Take care when using tweezers not to damage or catch the rope, as this may cause loose threads to appear.

3. Supremo furniture can be washed with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue. NEVER use a pressure washer to clean your furniture, as this could damage the materials.

4. Annual maintenance with hardwood oil is recommended.

5. After washing the furniture, dry it in a well-ventilated area.

6. Cushion covers are to be hand-washed only and are zipped for easy removal. Any spillages should be removed with a damp cloth. Please refer to the care label for instructions. To keep your cushions looking pristine, we recommend storing them away when not in use. NEVER machine wash or tumble dry the covers.

7. In coastal environments with a high concentration of abrasive salt in the atmosphere, the furniture should be washed down with fresh water monthly.
